Russian Occupiers Attack Port Infrastructure in Odesa Region: Warehouses and Vehicle Damaged
In the early hours of Thursday, April 2, Russian occupiers launched an attack on port infrastructure in the Odesa region, causing significant damage to warehouses and a civilian vehicle.
In the night leading into Thursday, April 2, Russian occupiers executed an attack targeting the port infrastructure in the Odesa region. This information was confirmed by the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine.
The strike, which hit one of the ports, resulted in damage to storage areas, hangars, and administrative-living facilities. Additionally, the attack led to the ignition of containers and a civilian vehicle located within the port premises.
Fortunately, according to preliminary information from the Ministry of Development, there were no casualties reported as a result of the attack. Emergency services are currently on-site, working to mitigate the aftermath of the strike and assess the damages incurred.
It is important to note that during the night and into the morning, Russia also launched six strikes using Shahed drones against Kharkiv, which resulted in outbreaks of fire. Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed that the enemy deliberately targeted a critical infrastructure facility, raising concerns among local residents.
According to data from the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia conducted an attack on Ukrainian territory utilizing 172 strike drones, including types such as Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other drone models. Air defense forces managed to neutralize 147 enemy drones, demonstrating the active measures taken by Ukrainian military forces to protect the airspace.
This new wave of attacks from Russian troops underscores the seriousness of the situation in regions that are under fire and highlights the urgent need to enhance security measures to protect critical infrastructure. The Odesa region, a vital economic center for Ukraine, continues to remain under threat, and local authorities are urging residents to stay vigilant and adhere to all safety recommendations.
