Russians Again Attack Kharkiv with Shahed Drones, Multiple Strikes Reported

On Monday, October 23, Kharkiv once again became a target for Russian occupiers utilizing Shahed-type drones, resulting in significant concerns among local residents and security services.

On Monday, October 23, Kharkiv once again became a target for attacks by Russian occupiers, who are employing Shahed-type drones. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, one of the attacks resulted in a strike on an educational institution, raising alarm among local residents and security services.

At 14:55, Terekhov reported on social media about the new attack on the city, noting that enemy drones had been recorded hitting the Kyiv district. "Preliminary information indicates that one of the recent strikes hit an educational institution. Information regarding casualties is being clarified," he wrote, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation.

Additionally, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synehubov, confirmed that three strikes by enemy drones had been recorded in the Kyiv district. "Currently, no information regarding casualties has been received. Emergency services are checking the strike sites," he noted in his message, urging residents to remain cautious and adhere to safety measures.

This attack occurred after earlier in the day, drones from the Russian occupation forces had already struck the Kyiv district of Kharkiv. As a result of these shellings, hits were recorded near a public transport stop and in a residential building. A public transport driver was injured, and three local residents sustained injuries.

These events underscore the continuation of Russia's aggressive policy toward Ukraine, particularly the use of drones to target civilian objects. The authorities in Kharkiv and the regional administration are closely monitoring the situation and taking measures to ensure the safety of the population. Emergency services are working to mitigate the consequences of the attacks and provide assistance to those affected.

In light of these events, local residents are urged to exercise caution, avoid gatherings of people, and stay informed through official sources. Authorities also remind the importance of being prepared for potential emergencies and knowing how to act in the event of new attacks.
