Russians Launch 804 Strikes in Zaporizhzhia Region in One Day, Two People Killed
The Zaporizhzhia region has once again come under heavy fire from Russian forces, who conducted 804 attacks within a single day, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to nine others.
The Zaporizhzhia region has been subjected to intense bombardment from Russian military forces, which executed a staggering 804 attacks in just 24 hours. According to reports from Ukrinform, Ivan Fedorov, the head of the regional military administration, shared the grim details on his Telegram channel, confirming that these hostile actions have led to the tragic loss of two lives and left nine others injured.
Fedorov detailed that Russian troops launched 19 airstrikes targeting various settlements, including Zaporizhzhia, Novomykolaivka, Balabine, Bilenke, Kanivske, Tavriyske, Lisne, Zelenyi Dibriv, Novo Polye, Charivne, Hirke, Verkhnia Tersia, Kopani, Shyroki, Huliaipilske, and Vozdvizhivka. The scale of these attacks highlights the relentless nature of the aggression faced by the region.
In addition to the airstrikes, a total of 573 drones of various modifications, predominantly FPV (First Person View) drones, were deployed to assault several locations, including Vilniansk, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Chervonodniprovka, Lysohirka, Nyzhniy Khortytsia, Novooleksandrivka, Tavriyske, Novoyakivlivka, Yurkiivka, Stepnohirske, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukraїnka, Sviatopetrivka, Tsvitkove, Varvarivka, Olenokostyantynivka, Pryluki, and Dobropillia.
Furthermore, six instances of shelling from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) were reported in Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Huliaipilske, Verkhnia Tersia, and Vozdvizhivka. In total, 206 artillery strikes targeted areas including Chervonodniprovka, Bilenke, Novoyakivlivka, Stepnohirske, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukianivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanylivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Huliaipilske, Staroukraїnka, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, Olenokostyantynivka, and Dobropillia.
As a result of these relentless attacks, authorities have received 91 reports of damage to infrastructure, residential buildings, and vehicles. This underscores the severe impact of hostile actions on the civilian population and the overall infrastructure of the region.
It is important to recall that on the evening of April 7, Russian forces struck the settlement of Balabine in the Zaporizhzhia district, resulting in one fatality and injuries among local residents. This incident further emphasizes the ongoing threat faced by the population of the Zaporizhzhia region amid the protracted conflict.
