According to Oleg Synehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, and Igor Terekhov, the mayor of Kharkiv, the latest assaults targeted three specific areas: Novobavar, Shevchenkivskyi, and Kyivskyi. Terekhov stated, 'The last strike affected three districts of Kharkiv - Novobavar, Shevchenkivskyi, and Kyivskyi.' He further noted that the situation center recorded the impact of a 'Molniya' drone on a civilian enterprise in the Shevchenkivskyi district.
In a detailed account of the casualties, Synehubov confirmed that an eight-year-old girl and a 53-year-old man were injured in the Novobavar district as a result of drone strikes. Medical professionals diagnosed both individuals with acute stress reactions. Additionally, a 74-year-old woman sought medical attention, also suffering from an acute stress reaction due to the attacks.
Furthermore, Synehubov updated the public that additional drone strikes were recorded in the Osnovianskyi and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv, where a 28-year-old woman and a one-month-old boy were among the injured. The attacks led to a fire in a four-story building and a shop in the Osnovianskyi district, resulting in yet another injury.
Prior to these incidents, reports indicated that as of 2:50 PM on April 2, Russian forces had launched 11 drone attacks on Kharkiv since the start of the day. One of the drones struck near a residential apartment building in the Kyivskyi district, injuring a 61-year-old woman.
