Russians Strike Central Kherson, Injuring Woman
On April 8, the Kherson Regional Military Administration reported a new shelling by Russian forces, resulting in injuries to an 89-year-old woman. This incident highlights the ongoing peril faced by civilians in the region.
Today, April 8, the Kherson Regional Military Administration announced a fresh attack carried out by Russian troops, which left an 89-year-old woman injured. The information was released via the administration's official Telegram channel, underscoring the alarming situation in the area.
According to the regional administration, around 10:00 AM, Russian occupiers struck the city center of Kherson. During the attack, a woman who was outside at the time was caught in the crossfire. She sustained blast injuries and shrapnel wounds to her leg. A medical emergency team was dispatched promptly to the scene, providing the necessary medical assistance to the victim.
Additionally, the regional administration reported another incident that occurred around 6:00 AM in the village of Mykilske, part of the Daryivska community. Here, the invaders attacked a 71-year-old man using a drone. As a result of the assault, the man was diagnosed with a concussion, blast injuries, and closed traumatic brain injuries. He was transported to the hospital in moderate condition.
Furthermore, according to information from the regional military administration, medical assistance was also required for a 48-year-old woman and a 9-year-old boy, who were injured on April 7 due to a Russian airstrike on the village of Stepaniivka. They were diagnosed with blast injuries and acute stress reactions. The severity of their condition necessitated outpatient treatment.
It is worth noting that on April 8, four people were reported injured in the Kherson region due to Russian aggression, including two children. These incidents highlight the persistent threat to the civilian population in the area, which continues to suffer the consequences of war.
In the face of ongoing shelling and attacks, residents of Kherson and surrounding areas are forced to live in conditions of uncertainty and fear. Authorities are urging all citizens to adhere to safety measures and remain in shelters during air raid alerts.
