Russians Strike Market in Nikopol: Five People Dead, 23 Injured

On Saturday, April 4, at approximately 9:50 AM, Russian occupiers launched a vicious strike on a market in the city of Nikopol, utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was reported by the press service of the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which noted that the consequences of this attack are horrifying.

As a result of the assault, five people were killed on the spot, and 21 individuals sustained injuries. Among the injured is a 14-year-old girl, highlighting the ruthlessness of the aggression directed at the civilian population. Furthermore, a subsequent strike on the same civilian target resulted in the injuries of two additional men, indicating that Russian forces show no regard for casualties.

This horrific attack also damaged numerous commercial premises, causing further harm to the local economy. Local authorities and law enforcement agencies have already begun work at the scene to document all details and provide necessary assistance to the victims.

According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, prosecutors and law enforcement officials are actively working at the site of the strike, gathering evidence and eyewitness testimonies. It is noted that under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a criminal proceeding has been initiated regarding the war crime, in accordance with Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
