In a recent statement to the Ukrinform news agency, spokesperson for the Joint Forces Group Viktor Trehubov reported on the attempts by Russian troops to cross the Zherebets River in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction. Trehubov emphasized that despite the aggressors' activity, these attempts currently have no significant impact on the overall situation at the front.

“Regarding the Zherebets, yes, there are attempts to cross it, but at the moment this has no significant impact,” he stressed. According to Trehubov, Russian military forces have repeatedly tried to undertake such actions, but have achieved no notable results. This indicates that Ukrainian forces continue to effectively counter the enemy's attempts to advance in this area.

The spokesperson also noted that the current situation in the combat zone is characterized by a significantly denser presence of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). “Right now, there is a much denser saturation of UAVs,” Trehubov added, indicating an increase in the technological preparedness of Ukrainian troops and their ability to control the situation in the air.

It is worth mentioning that on the front during the past day, April 3, Russian troops conducted eight attacks in the Kupiansk direction, particularly in the area of Borivska Andriivka, as well as towards Kivsharivka, Novoosynove, and Novoplatonivka. These figures indicate a continuation of active hostilities in this region, despite the lack of significant achievements on the part of the adversary.

Overall, the situation in the Kupiansk-Lyman direction remains tense, and Ukrainian troops continue to take measures to protect their positions. Importantly, Ukrainian forces demonstrate resilience and readiness to repel attacks, as confirmed by Trehubov's words regarding the effectiveness of their actions in response to enemy attempts.

This information underscores the importance of continuous monitoring of the situation at the front, as the actions of Russian troops may change, and Ukrainian forces must be prepared for any challenges. At the same time, Ukrainian military continues to receive support from international partners, which also contributes to strengthening their positions.
