On the morning of April 7, 2023, Russian occupiers executed an attack on the Ship District of Kherson, leading to the tragic deaths of three individuals and injuring five others who were transported to the hospital. This information was shared by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, via his Telegram channel.

According to Prokudin, around 10:50 AM, the occupiers opened fire on residential buildings. As a result of these shellings, two women, aged 72 and 71, and a 60-year-old man lost their lives. These casualties serve as yet another tragic testament to the consequences of Russia's military aggression against Ukraine.

In addition to the fatalities, three injured individuals were admitted to the hospital, including women aged 71 and 57, as well as a 72-year-old man. All of the victims are receiving necessary medical assistance, and their conditions are stable, although they require careful monitoring by medical professionals.

Subsequently, the regional military administration reported an increase in the number of injured as a result of the Russian strikes on the Ship District. Among the new casualties was a 60-year-old man who sustained severe injuries, including traumatic amputation of a toe, a concussion, and both explosive and closed head injuries. Doctors assess his condition as moderate, necessitating prolonged treatment and rehabilitation.

Additionally, an 81-year-old man was hospitalized with shrapnel wounds to the face, a concussion, and both explosive and closed head injuries. His condition is also concerning, and medical staff are doing everything possible to provide him with the necessary care.

This attack further confirms that civilians in Ukraine continue to suffer from the ongoing war, which has persisted for many months. Authorities in the Kherson region are urging residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety regulations, as the situation remains tense.

It is important to note that Kherson, like many other cities in Ukraine, is subject to constant attacks from Russian forces. These shellings not only damage infrastructure but also claim the lives of innocent civilians, which is unacceptable in any war. The international community continues to condemn Russia's aggression and calls for a ceasefire; however, the situation remains critical.

In response to these events, Ukrainian authorities are continuing their efforts to ensure the safety of citizens and provide medical assistance to the victims. It is crucial that all those affected by this attack receive the necessary support and aid, as their lives and health are a priority for the state.
