Russia Launches Massive Drone Attack with Nearly 100 UAVs, Strikes Reported at 10 Locations

In the early hours of April 5, 2023, Russian occupation forces executed a large-scale attack on Ukrainian territory, deploying 93 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Among these, approximately 60 drones were of Iranian manufacture, specifically the 'Shahed' model. The Ukrainian Air Force confirmed that they managed to shoot down or suppress 76 of these drones, indicating a high level of readiness among Ukrainian air defense forces.

According to military reports, the attack spanned various regions of the country, including the north, south, and east. As a result of hostile actions, impacts from 17 strike UAVs were recorded at 10 different locations. Additionally, debris from the downed drones fell on three sites, causing further destruction.

As of the morning of April 5, several enemy UAVs remained in Ukrainian airspace, suggesting a continued aerial threat. Military experts note that the activity of Russian drones may be linked to preparations for new attacks on Ukraine's critical infrastructure.

It is important to recall that on the night of April 5, Russian forces also struck Odessa, leading to fires and significant damage. Specifically, the facade of a residential building was destroyed, necessitating the evacuation of 20 residents. Unfortunately, there is also information regarding injuries resulting from this shelling.
