Rada Supports Daria Volodina's Resignation as Deputy

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine made a pivotal decision on March 23, 2023, by approving the resignation of Deputy Daria Volodina. The resolution garnered support from 253 votes, reflecting substantial backing from lawmakers. This information was reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform.

Daria Volodina was elected to the Verkhovna Rada in the 9th convocation in 2019, representing the 'Servant of the People' party as number 65 on the party list. Although she is officially non-partisan, she has been actively engaged within the party's faction. Volodina also serves on the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on Finance, Taxation, and Customs Policy, where she addresses critical issues concerning the financial stability of the country.

In 2021, Daria Volodina joined the inter-factional association 'Smart Policy,' led by Dmytro Razumkov. This association aims to promote effective legislation and improve the political landscape in Ukraine, further emphasizing Volodina's active participation in the country’s political life.

According to Ukrainian legislation, since Volodina was elected from the general list of the 'Servant of the People' party, her parliamentary seat will be filled by the next candidate on the list. This means that the party will have the opportunity to maintain its presence in the Verkhovna Rada despite the resignation of one of its representatives.
