Enemy Launches 788 Strikes on Zaporizhzhia in One Day, Three Injured
In a dramatic escalation of violence, the Zaporizhzhia region has experienced 788 attacks over the past day, resulting in injuries to three individuals, according to local officials.
The information was reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, citing Ivan Fedorov, the head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, who shared the details on his Telegram channel. Over the past 24 hours, Zaporizhzhia has become the site of numerous hostile attacks, leading to the injuries of three men in the Zaporizhzhia and Polohy districts.
According to the data provided by the regional military administration, the occupiers launched 788 strikes across 43 populated areas in the Zaporizhzhia region. This indicates a significant increase in the intensity of hostilities in the area, where the situation remains tense.
Specifically, Russian forces carried out 17 airstrikes targeting the settlements of Hryhorivka, Veselyanka, Krynivka, Zhovtenke, Tersyanka, Huliaipilske, Vozdvizhivka, Dolynka, Kopani, Verkhnya Tersa, Shyroke, Tsvitkove, and Svoboda. These strikes caused extensive damage to infrastructure and residential buildings, as confirmed by numerous reports of destruction.
In addition to airstrikes, there were 570 attacks recorded involving various modifications of drones, primarily FPV drones, which targeted Velyka Novosilka, Kushuhum, Komyshuvakha, Tavriyske, Bilenke, Rozumivka, Lysohirka, Novooleksandrivka, Hryhorivka, Novoyakivka, Stepnohirs'k, Stepove, Pavlivka, Prymorske, Lukyanivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychnye, Shcherbaky, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Dobropillia, Sviatopetrivka, Pryluky, Preobrazhenka, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Olenokostyantynivka.
Furthermore, there were four attacks recorded from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) targeting the settlements of Hirke, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, and Novopavlivka. This further underscores the aggressive tactics employed by Russian military forces, striking at civilian populations.
As a result of artillery bombardments, which accounted for 197 strikes, the areas of Stepnohirs'k, Prymorske, Stepove, Pavlivka, Lukyanivske, Orikhiv, Huliaipole, Zaliznychnye, Shcherbaky, Novoandriivka, Novodanilivka, Mala Tokmachka, Charivne, Dobropillia, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, and Olenokostyantynivka were affected. These figures indicate that the bombardments continue to inflict severe damage on both infrastructure and the lives of local residents.
In total, there have been 73 reports of damage to infrastructure, housing, and vehicles resulting from these attacks. Notably, occupiers targeted a vehicle with a drone in the Polohy district of Zaporizhzhia, resulting in injuries to two individuals.
The situation in the Zaporizhzhia region remains critical, and local authorities continue to work on ensuring the safety of the population and providing necessary assistance to the affected.
