Continuing to Break the Enemy's Backbone: Syrsky States Drones Provide Ukraine with an Advantage on the Frontline
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, has declared that defense forces are maintaining strategic initiative and preventing Russian troops from launching a large-scale offensive. He emphasized that one of the key factors contributing to Ukraine's advantage is the use of drones, which are currently inflicting significant and effective losses on Russian forces.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrsky, has made a bold statement regarding the ongoing military situation in Ukraine. He asserted that the country's defense forces are successfully maintaining the strategic initiative against Russian military operations while simultaneously preventing any large-scale offensive from the enemy. Syrsky highlighted that one of the pivotal factors enabling Ukraine to sustain this advantage is the deployment of unmanned aerial systems, which have been instrumental in delivering substantial and effective losses to Russian troops.
In a recent message shared on Telegram, Syrsky noted, "For four consecutive months, starting from December 2025, our drone units have neutralized more enemies than they have recruited into their ranks." This statement underscores the effectiveness of Ukrainian military actions in combating the aggressor, showcasing the tactical superiority achieved through the use of advanced drone technology.
During a meeting dedicated to the development of drone systems, military leaders reviewed and analyzed the results achieved in March. Syrsky reported, "In March, compared to February, the total personnel losses inflicted on the enemy by our drone units increased by 29%. I want to express my gratitude to our soldiers for their effective work!" His remarks reflect a significant escalation in the operational capabilities of Ukrainian forces.
Furthermore, Syrsky revealed that, on average, drone units are currently conducting more than 11,000 combat missions per day. In March alone, there was a 50% increase in the number of verified targets hit compared to February, amounting to over 150,000 targets struck. This remarkable statistic highlights the intensified operational tempo and effectiveness of Ukraine's drone warfare strategy.
"I would like to specifically note the increase in the effectiveness of our medium-strike capabilities. Almost 350 strikes were carried out at operational depths of 30 to 120 kilometers," Syrsky emphasized, pointing to the strategic impact of these operations on Russian supply lines and command structures.
According to Syrsky, Ukrainian forces successfully targeted 143 Russian logistical facilities and warehouses, 52 command points, 20 oil and gas infrastructure sites, and various other objectives throughout March. These achievements illustrate the comprehensive approach adopted by Ukrainian military command, which integrates domestic drone production, enhanced operator skills, and innovative organizational solutions.
Additionally, Syrsky remarked that the results reflect the combined effect of domestic production of unmanned aerial vehicles, improved operator skills, and organizational decisions made by the Ukrainian military command. The increasing number of completed tasks by Ukrainian ground robotic systems further signifies the growing effectiveness and adaptation to modern combat conditions.
This information underscores the critical importance of technology in contemporary military conflicts and the role that innovative approaches to warfare play in an era where traditional methods are becoming less effective. Ukrainian military forces continue to adapt their strategies to fully leverage cutting-edge technologies, which will undoubtedly influence the future course of the war.
