Demand for New Commercial Vehicles Increased by 6% in March – "Ukravtoprom"

In March 2026, the Ukrainian market for new freight and specialized vehicles saw a significant increase in demand, with 1,085 new vehicles registered, marking a 6% rise compared to March 2025 and a notable 23% increase from February of the same year.

In March 2026, the Ukrainian fleet of new freight and specialized vehicles expanded by 1,085 new units, representing a 6% increase compared to the same month in 2025. This figure also reflects a 23% rise when compared to the previous month, February 2026. These statistics were released by the association "Ukravtoprom" via their Telegram channel, indicating positive trends in the commercial transport market in Ukraine.

Renault continues to lead the market for new commercial vehicles, having sold 179 units. Following closely behind is Volkswagen, which sold 112 units, while Citroen secured the third position with 93 units sold. The top five is rounded out by Fiat, with 87 units, and Opel, which sold 78 units. This data underscores a stable demand for vehicles from these brands among Ukrainian consumers.

Interestingly, the top five brands in March of the previous year looked quite different, featuring MAN, Renault, Iveco, Ford, and Peugeot. This shift highlights changing consumer preferences and the market's adaptation to new conditions.

According to "Ukravtoprom", the total number of new freight and specialized vehicles registered in the first three months of 2026 reached 2,911 units. This marks a 3% increase compared to the same period last year, suggesting a gradual recovery of the market following challenging economic conditions.

It is important to note that in 2025, registrations of new freight and specialized vehicles decreased by 5% compared to 2024, totaling nearly 12,300 vehicles. This decline may be linked to the economic challenges faced by the country, as well as fluctuations in demand for commercial transport.

Thus, the March 2026 figures indicate positive changes in the market for new commercial vehicles in Ukraine. The growth in demand may be a result of economic recovery and consumer adaptation to new realities. The future development of the market will depend on various factors, including economic stability, legislative changes, and other external influences.
