Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka Directions - The Hottest Frontlines, 149 Clashes Recorded in a Day

As reported by Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has released information regarding combat operations as of 8:00 AM on Sunday, April 5. The situation at the front remains complex, particularly in the Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka directions, where the highest level of combat activity has been noted.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the situation on the front lines continues to be challenging, especially in the Pokrovsk and Konstantynivka directions, where the most intense combat activity has been observed. Over the course of a single day, Russian forces launched 91 airstrikes, dropping a total of 275 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, the enemy deployed 9,678 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,913 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 114 attacks utilizing multiple launch rocket systems.

Airstrikes were recorded in the vicinity of the settlements of Ivanivka, Dobropasove, Levadne, Vyshneve, Lisne, Velykomykhailivka, Oleksandrivka, and Pokrovsk in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as in the areas of Verkhnya Tersa, Vozdvizhenska, Novoselivka, Rybalske, and Lyubytske in the Zaporizhzhia region. In response, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck at a command point of the Russians and two areas where their personnel were concentrated.

In the Northeastern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, Russian troops carried out 105 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including seven attacks using multiple launch rocket systems. In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy launched seven attacks on Ukrainian units in the areas of Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Ambarne, and towards the settlement of Bochkove.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attacked nine times in the vicinity of the settlements of Kurylivka, Pishchane, Kivsharivka, Novoplatonivka, Borivska Andriivka, and Novoosynove. In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance towards the settlement of Lyman.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders halted three attempts by the Russians to advance in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, and Yampol. Meanwhile, in the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces did not conduct any attacks.

In the Konstantynivka direction, the enemy launched 29 attacks near Konstantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, Dovha Balka, and Sofiivka. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 26 assault actions by the enemy in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Udachne, Gryshyne, Myrnohrad, Novomykolaivka, and towards Novo Donbas.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, Russian forces attacked nine times in the areas of Oleksandrhrad, Sichneve, and Verbove. In the Huliaipole direction, there were 11 attacks by Russian invaders in the areas of Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Huliaipole, Pryluky, Olenokostyantynivka, and Myrne. In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy attempted to advance three times in the vicinity of the settlement of Stepove.

In the Dnipro direction, Ukrainian units repelled six Russian attacks near the Bilohrudyi Island and the Antonivskyi Bridge. At the same time, no signs of the formation of offensive groups by the enemy were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions, as emphasized by the General Staff.

According to information released by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops in terms of personnel from February 24, 2022, to April 5, 2026, have reached approximately 1,303,550 individuals, of which 1,180 were eliminated in the last day alone. This data indicates the continuation of fierce battles on the front and significant losses on both sides.
