Hourly Power Outages to Be Implemented on Wednesday Evening from 7 PM to 10 PM Across All Regions – Ukrenergo

On April 8, Ukraine will experience hourly power outages from 7 PM to 10 PM in all regions of the country, as announced by the National Energy Company Ukrenergo. This decision comes in response to the anticipated increase in electricity consumption during the evening hours, which typically see peak loads on the energy system.

On April 8, Ukraine is set to implement hourly power outages that will take effect from 7 PM to 10 PM across all regions of the country. This decision was made by the National Energy Company Ukrenergo due to the forecasted rise in electricity consumption during the evening period, when the energy system usually experiences maximum load.

The company explained that the primary reason for the introduction of these restrictions is the aftermath of previous Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy facilities, which have led to a significant power deficit within the energy system. Given the high level of electricity consumption, this decision has become a necessary measure to ensure the stability of the energy infrastructure.

"The reason for implementing these restrictions is the consequences of previous Russian attacks on energy facilities and the resulting power deficit in the energy system under conditions of high energy consumption," stated representatives from Ukrenergo. They emphasized that the situation may change, and therefore consumers are advised to check information about the timing and duration of outages for their specific addresses on the official pages of distribution system operators, namely the regional energy companies.

It is worth noting that earlier in the day on April 8, Ukrenergo initially forecasted the implementation of hourly outage schedules for all consumer categories from 11 AM to 1 PM. However, due to changing circumstances and rising consumption levels, a decision was made to extend the outages into the evening hours.

Experts indicate that this situation may persist for some time, as the country's energy sector continues to feel the repercussions of military actions and the destruction inflicted on infrastructure. Consumers are advised to plan their activities in advance, taking into account the potential interruptions in electricity supply.

It is important to highlight that the energy situation in Ukraine remains complex, and Ukrenergo is continually working on restoring and improving the energy infrastructure. However, amid ongoing war conditions and constant threats, ensuring stable electricity supply remains a priority, and the measures taken are essential for maintaining the country's energy security.
