As a cold front envelops Ukraine, an approaching cyclone has brought numerous rains and wet snow. Meteorologists predict that precipitation will gradually decrease by Easter, promising improved weather conditions for the celebrations.
In the second half of this week, specifically from April 9 to April 12, the weather in Ukraine will remain cold and damp. In most regions of the country, forecasters predict night frosts, as well as precipitation in the form of rain and wet snow. However, by the end of the week, particularly on Easter, a reduction in precipitation and a slight increase in air temperature are expected.
On Thursday, April 9, the cold and damp weather will continue across the country. Light to moderate rains are expected, with wet snow predominating in the western and northern regions. In some areas, wet snow may accumulate, and icy conditions are likely to form on the roads. The wind will be from the northwest, blowing at speeds of 7-12 m/s. Night temperatures will range from -2 to +3 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between +2 and +7 degrees Celsius, with the Carpathian region seeing temperatures around 0 degrees Celsius.
On Friday, April 10, significant precipitation is not anticipated across Ukraine. Only in the Carpathians and the northern part of the country may there be light snow, wet snow, and occasional rain. The wind will remain from the north and northwest, with speeds of 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures will be between -3 and +2 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to range from +3 to +8 degrees Celsius, with southern regions seeing temperatures rise to +8 to +11 degrees Celsius.
On Saturday, April 11, light precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain will occur in various parts of the country, except for the western regions. The wind will continue from the northwest, blowing at speeds of 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures will fluctuate from -3 to +2 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between +4 and +9 degrees Celsius, with southern regions and Transcarpathia seeing temperatures rise to +9 to +12 degrees Celsius.
On Sunday, April 12, rains will occur only during the day in the southern and western regions, with possible wet snow in the Carpathians. In other regions, weather without significant precipitation is expected. The wind will shift direction at night, becoming easterly during the day, with speeds of 5-10 m/s. Night temperatures will range from -2 to +3 degrees Celsius, while daytime temperatures are expected to be between +5 and +10 degrees Celsius, with southern regions seeing temperatures rise to +9 to +12 degrees Celsius.
Thus, Ukrainians can expect cold and damp weather in the coming days; however, as Easter approaches, the situation with precipitation will improve, allowing for the holiday to be celebrated in more comfortable conditions.
