Petro Poroshenko Delivers Batch of Equipment and Drones to 15 Brigades and Battalions
Ukrainian MP and leader of the 'European Solidarity' political force, Petro Poroshenko, has recently delivered a significant batch of equipment and drones, valued at 34 million hryvnias, to 15 brigades and battalions within the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Petro Poroshenko, a prominent Ukrainian politician and leader of the 'European Solidarity' party, has made a substantial contribution to the military by delivering a significant batch of equipment and drones valued at 34 million hryvnias. This support is directed towards 15 brigades and battalions that are part of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, including the Airborne Assault Forces, Ground Forces, Air Forces, Naval Forces, Special Operations Forces (SOF), and Territorial Defense Forces (TDF).
In a statement posted on Facebook, Poroshenko emphasized the urgency of providing adequate support to the military, especially as the country enters Holy Week. He stated, 'Today marks the beginning of Holy Week. But our team cannot sit idly by while the Armed Forces of Ukraine remain under-equipped. Therefore, today we welcomed representatives from 15 combat brigades: marines, airborne troops, drone operators, infantry, reconnaissance, and aviation. Here are Valeriy Prozapaz, Oleksandr Pohrebysky, and Yevhen, among other friends.' These remarks underscore the critical importance of timely military support amid ongoing conflict.
The delivered equipment includes two armored evacuation vehicles, specifically Land Rovers, five container repair workshops based on trailers, ten mobile sawmills, 125 'Blitz' complexes, 225 fiber-optic 'Viry' FPV drones, nine DJI Mavic quadcopters for both day and night operations, 73 Starlink sets, 68 'Aspirin' drone detectors, a dome electronic warfare complex named 'Shatro,' as well as generators, charging stations, and other electronic equipment, along with 236 tires for pickup trucks.
Poroshenko highlighted the necessity of armored vehicles on the front lines, noting their crucial roles in medical evacuation, delivery, logistics support, and ammunition transportation. 'They perform medical evacuation functions, delivery, logistics support, and ammunition transport,' he remarked, emphasizing the multifaceted utility of these vehicles in combat scenarios.
During the equipment handover, a military officer known by the call sign 'Yevhen' expressed gratitude for the assistance provided, stating, 'The cargo is very large, and this is indeed significant help for us to destroy the enemy.' This sentiment reflects the appreciation that military personnel have for the support they receive from volunteers and politicians alike.
Poroshenko also pointed out that his team is making maximum efforts to deliver military equipment worth up to one million dollars each week. 'Of course, this amount could be larger if the authorities had not imposed illegal and extrajudicial sanctions. Just imagine, if there were no sanctions, there would be not five, but ten workshops. If there were no sanctions, there would be not ten, but twenty sawmills,' he stressed, highlighting the challenges faced by volunteers and benefactors in their efforts to support the military.
'But no one will stop us. Because our army consists of true heroes. And we must support them,' Poroshenko asserted. These words reflect the determination and commitment of the 'European Solidarity' team to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who continue to fight for the country's independence and territorial integrity.
