The head coach of the Polissya football team, Ruslan Rotan, recently commented on the prospects of young midfielder Oleg Fedor, who joined the club from Lviv's Karpaty. Rotan expressed confidence in the high potential of this 21-year-old player, noting that his acquisition is an important step for the team.
“Is the acquisition of Fedor risky? That is our responsibility. We need to believe. A player with such a set of qualities is very important for team actions. That is 100%. Therefore, it is necessary to unlock the potential that the player has. We will work on it,” Rotan stated in his remarks, as quoted by the publication Ukrainian Football.
The coach emphasized that Oleg Fedor approaches all tasks with understanding and is hard-working, which, in his opinion, creates the prerequisites for the player's rapid progress. “It is very cool that he approaches everything with understanding and is hard-working. These factors allow us to already count on his progress today. Time will tell, but for some reason, I am confident that he is the future of all Ukrainian football,” the coach added.
Oleg Fedor began his professional career at Lviv's Rukh and moved to Karpaty in 2025. According to media reports, FC Polissya paid around two million euros for the young midfielder, indicating the club's serious intentions regarding the development of his career.
It is worth noting that Oleg Fedor already has experience playing under Ruslan Rotan for the Olympic and youth national teams of Ukraine. This could provide an additional advantage for his adaptation to the new team.
At present, Fedor has already played four matches for Polissya in the Ukrainian championship, where he recorded an assist, demonstrating his ability to integrate into team actions and contribute to the team's results.
Furthermore, it was recently revealed that in the match of the 22nd round of the Ukrainian Premier League, Kyiv's Dynamo suffered a home defeat to Lviv's Karpaty, highlighting the competitiveness of domestic football and the importance of every player in the team.
Thus, Ruslan Rotan, as the coach of Polissya, places great hopes on the young midfielder Oleg Fedor, considering him an important element in building the team and achieving success in the future.
