The State Film Agency of Ukraine has officially released the poster for its upcoming romantic comedy 'Voice of the Heart'. This film is set to tell a heartfelt story about love, the possibility of second chances, and the power of music, which can often resonate more profoundly than mere words.
The plot of 'Voice of the Heart' centers around a character named Zheka, who seemingly buried his ambitious dreams of performing on the big stage long ago. Currently, he only occasionally performs, rapping at local weddings. However, his mundane life takes a dramatic turn when he discovers that he has an eight-year-old daughter living in the capital. This unexpected twist presents him with a challenging question: is it possible to reclaim what has already been lost? And how can one express the most important feelings when words seem insufficient?
The film 'Voice of the Heart' is set to premiere on September 10 of this year. It is being produced by Prime Story Pictures with the support of the State Film Agency of Ukraine, highlighting the significance of this project for Ukrainian cinema.
The national distribution of the film will be handled by B&H Film Distribution Company, which further emphasizes its potential to reach a wide audience. As reported by Ukrinform, work on the film began back in late 2021; however, production was temporarily halted due to the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine.
It wasn't until 2025 that preparations for filming could resume, with actual shooting commencing in the summer of 2025. This timeline illustrates the resilience of Ukrainian filmmakers and their determination to continue creating quality content despite challenging circumstances.
