Drone Operators in Kharkiv Oblast Strike Russian 'Solntsepek'

According to a report from the 16th Army Corps published on their Facebook page, Ukrainian operators of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) struck a Russian heavy flamethrower system of the 'Solntsepek' type. This operation took place under the first rays of spring sunshine near the settlement of Dvorichna, located in Kharkiv Oblast. As a result of the precise strike, the system was destroyed, leading to its detonation.

The military noted that such targets typically receive enhanced protection and coverage from electronic warfare systems, complicating their destruction. However, operators from the 129th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade managed to overcome these obstacles and successfully complete the assigned task. Consequently, another piece of the enemy's heavy equipment was eliminated.

Furthermore, as previously reported by Ukrinform, in the Belgorod direction and in the border areas of Kharkiv Oblast, operators from the 429th Separate Brigade of UAVs 'Achilles' also struck several units of Russian weaponry. Among the destroyed items were the heavy flamethrower system TOC-1A 'Solntsepek' and the self-propelled artillery unit 2S3 'Akatsiya'. These successes indicate the growing effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in employing drone technologies for combat operations.
