Occupants Attack Nikopol Again, Four Injured – Regional Administration
On the morning of April 4, a new attack by Russian occupants on the city of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region resulted in injuries to four civilians, two of whom were urgently hospitalized.
On Monday morning, April 4, reports emerged of a fresh assault by Russian occupants on the city of Nikopol, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. According to information provided by Oleksandr Hanzha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the drone attack left four civilians injured, with two women requiring immediate hospitalization.
Hanzha indicated that "the enemy attacked Nikopol using FPV drones." These strikes caused significant destruction within the city, including damage to a multi-story residential building and a pharmacy. Additionally, a vehicle was set ablaze as a result of the attack. The injured women included a 62-year-old patient who sustained severe injuries, while a 33-year-old woman remains in moderate condition. The other two victims, aged 39 and 49, are expected to receive outpatient treatment.
This latest attack follows a series of tragic events that occurred on Saturday, April 4, around 9:50 AM, when Russian occupants struck a market in Nikopol, resulting in the deaths of five individuals and injuries to 21 others, including a 14-year-old girl. A subsequent strike on the market led to the injury of two additional men. These attacks also damaged commercial premises, provoking outrage among local residents.
In light of these events, a criminal investigation has been initiated for war crimes under Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The city has declared a period of mourning for the deceased, underscoring the gravity of the situation and the profound sorrow that has enveloped the community.
On Sunday morning, April 5, Russian occupants attacked Nikopol once again, this time targeting a civilian vehicle. As a result of this assault, a man was killed, and a 60-year-old woman sustained severe injuries and is currently in critical condition. These incidents highlight the ongoing threat posed by Russian military actions to civilians, who are becoming victims of relentless attacks.
Nikopol, like many other cities in Ukraine, continues to suffer from aggression by Russian forces, and residents of the city are calling for international support and assistance in combating this violence. The situation remains tense, and local authorities are working to ensure safety and provide support to those affected by the attacks.
