On April 6, 2023, Russian occupiers launched an attack on Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, using FPV drones, resulting in injuries to four women aged 62, 33, 39, and 49.
On April 6, 2023, in Nikopol, located in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, Russian occupiers executed an attack utilizing FPV drones. This horrific incident led to injuries among four women, aged 62, 33, 39, and 49 years old.
Alexander Ganjha, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, provided detailed information regarding the consequences of the attack. According to him, two of the injured women were urgently hospitalized. Among them is a 62-year-old woman whose condition is assessed as serious, and a 33-year-old woman who is in moderate condition.
Additionally, the 39 and 49-year-old women sustained injuries, but their treatment will be conducted on an outpatient basis, indicating that their wounds are not critical.
Ganjha also noted that the shelling in Nikopol not only affected the lives of individuals but also damaged the city's infrastructure. Specifically, during the attack, a multi-story building and a pharmacy were hit, and a car was burned, highlighting the destructive impact of such assaults on civilian objects.
It is worth mentioning that this is not the first instance of Nikopol being targeted by Russian forces. On the morning of April 5, just one day prior to this incident, Russian troops also directed a strike using an FPV drone at a car traveling along one of Nikopol's busiest streets. Unfortunately, as a result of this attack, a 61-year-old driver was killed, further emphasizing the dangers faced by civilians in the region.
This tragic incident raises concerns among local residents who have long suffered from continuous shelling and attacks. The situation in Nikopol remains tense, and local authorities are urging residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures.
Amidst these events, the international community continues to monitor the situation in Ukraine, expressing support for the Ukrainian people and condemning the aggression from Russia. With each passing day, it becomes increasingly evident that the consequences of war affect not only military personnel but also ordinary citizens who are losing their lives and health due to senseless attacks.
