The National Agency for the Detection and Management of Assets (ARMA) has officially announced the establishment of a new commission dedicated to the selection of managers for complex assets. This commission will be led by Anka Feldhuyzen, who currently serves as Ukraine's business ombudsman. The decision to create this commission aims to enhance the independence and trust in the selection process of asset managers, which is a significant step in the reform of asset management systems in Ukraine.
Valeriy Sayenko, the director of the Asset Management Department at ARMA, has been appointed as the deputy head of the commission. This appointment reflects the agency's commitment to involving qualified professionals in the asset management process, which is expected to positively influence the commission's effectiveness.
During the commission's inaugural meeting, members discussed organizational issues, agreed on fundamental approaches to their work and decision-making, and acknowledged the necessity of preparing an operational regulation. This demonstrates a serious approach to forming the structure and functioning of the commission, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on future efforts in managing complex assets.
The press service of ARMA emphasized that the commission is a permanently functioning collegial body created to assess participants in the selection procedure for managers of complex assets against qualification requirements. This means that the commission will hold regular meetings and make decisions regarding candidates for managerial positions, ensuring transparency and objectivity in the selection process.
The launch of the commission is part of ARMA's reform, which includes the division of assets into simple and complex categories, as well as the implementation of a new procedure for selecting managers of complex assets. This reform aims to ensure transparency, competition, and enhanced efficiency in managing seized assets, which is a crucial step in the fight against corruption and the improvement of the investment climate in Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the personnel composition of the Commission for the Selection of Managers for Complex Assets at ARMA on March 18. This indicates government support for the reform of the asset management system, which is an essential aspect for the further development of the country's economy.
