Nova Poshta Warns of Fraudulent Scheme Involving 'Sale of Packages'

Nova Poshta has issued a crucial warning to Ukrainians about a new fraudulent scheme circulating on social media and Telegram channels, which claims to sell lost or unclaimed packages.

Recently, the company Nova Poshta released an important announcement on its official Telegram channel, alerting Ukrainians to a new fraudulent scheme that is actively spreading across social media and Telegram channels. This announcement addresses the alleged sale of lost or unclaimed packages, which has raised concerns among users.

Nova Poshta clearly stated that the company does not engage in the sale of its customers' packages. This is a significant point, as fraudsters are using this information to mislead trusting individuals. In its message, the company emphasized that after the storage period of a package expires, if the recipient has not extended it, or in the case of a refusal of the package, it is subject to disposal in accordance with the company's internal procedures.

Fraudsters implementing this scheme promise potential victims “surprise boxes” filled with electronics or valuable items. However, as experience shows, individuals who fall for these scammers end up receiving random useless goods that hold no value. Nova Poshta also reported instances where fraudsters use the names of real companies as “senders” to further deceive people.

The company urged Ukrainians to be cautious and not to trust such offers. It recommends avoiding suspicious links and refraining from making payments to unknown sellers, as this could lead to financial losses. Such fraudulent schemes are becoming increasingly popular, and it is essential for the public to be informed about them.

Additionally, Nova Poshta reminded users of other fraud cases circulating online. For instance, a recent fake claim about a supposed “charitable Easter set” offering monetary payouts from the Red Cross in collaboration with ROZETKA, ranging from 1,900 to 5,100 UAH, has emerged. These fakes are also aimed at deceiving Ukrainians and seizing their funds.

In light of this, Nova Poshta calls on everyone to remain vigilant and cautious, as online fraud is becoming a more prevalent phenomenon. Users should always verify information before carrying out any financial transactions or sharing their personal data. The company also encourages everyone to join their official channels on social media platforms such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube to stay updated with relevant information and news.
