Ukrainian Defense Forces Target Enemy Oil Depots and Military Positions: General Staff Reports New Strikes

In the early hours of April 8, 2023, the Ukrainian Defense Forces executed a successful operation that struck oil depots in Feodosia and Hvardiyiske on the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, these strategic facilities serve as storage sites for fuel and lubricants essential for sustaining Russian military units operating in the region.

The information source, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, emphasized that these strikes are part of a systematic effort by Ukrainian military personnel aimed at weakening the military capabilities of the aggressor. In addition to targeting oil depots, Ukrainian forces also inflicted damage on enemy material and technical supply warehouses across several regions, including the areas of Svitlyi, Sukhodilska, and Velyka Novosilka. These locations are situated in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions.

Furthermore, during the operation, a field artillery depot located near Yalta in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region was hit, along with a drone storage facility near the settlement of Stepne. Another ammunition depot was destroyed in the vicinity of the settlement of Uralo-Kavkaz, which is also located in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.

A critical component of this operation was the targeting of a radio-electronic reconnaissance station in the area of Novoozernyi, as well as the positional area of the Bastion coastal missile system in the vicinity of Sofiivka on the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. These strikes aim not only to eliminate the enemy's material and technical resources but also to diminish their capabilities for conducting military operations.

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces underscores that the Ukrainian Defense Forces will continue to systematically carry out measures aimed at reducing the combat potential of the Russian occupation army. They are determined to achieve a complete cessation of armed aggression by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. These actions are part of a strategy that involves the active use of all available means to protect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.
