Traffic Restrictions on Kyiv-Chop Highway Due to Repairs
Starting April 8, 2024, traffic will be restricted on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway in the directions of Kyiv and Zhytomyr as part of a phased lane closure announced by the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure.
Beginning April 8, 2024, motorists will face phased lane closures on the M-06 Kyiv-Chop highway, specifically affecting the routes towards Kyiv and Zhytomyr. This announcement was made by the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure on their official Facebook page, as reported by the Ukrinform news agency.
The traffic restrictions will be implemented on the section of the road from km 51+700 to km 52+700, which runs through the village of Kalynivka in the Kyiv region. The primary reason for these restrictions is the ongoing repair work on the overpass located at km 54+863 on the T-10-19 road, which connects the towns of Fenievychi, Borodyanka, Makariv, and Byshiv. The work will be carried out in accordance with approved traffic organization schemes aimed at ensuring the safety of both drivers and pedestrians during the repair process.
According to preliminary information, the traffic restrictions are expected to last until early August 2026. This extended closure may significantly impact the transportation flow in the region, prompting drivers to plan their routes in advance, taking into account potential delays and detours.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of 2026, road workers have already repaired 2.7 million square meters of damage on state roads. This reflects the government's active efforts in restoring and improving road infrastructure, which is a critical step towards ensuring the safety and comfort of drivers.
Additionally, the State Agency for Restoration and Development of Infrastructure urges all road users to adhere to traffic regulations and remain vigilant in areas where repair work is being conducted. It is essential to remember that safety on the road depends on each of us, and following the rules can prevent many unpleasant situations.
For the latest information regarding road conditions and potential changes in traffic organization, drivers are advised to follow updates on the official channels of the State Agency, as well as join their social media platforms, including Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube.
