Director of Medical Facility in Ternopil Region Exposed for Falsifying Medical Documents for Military Evaders
Border guards in the Ternopil region have uncovered a mobilization evasion scheme involving the director of a medical facility, who orchestrated the creation of counterfeit medical documents to help men avoid military service and cross the state border without hindrance.
Border guards in the Ternopil region have uncovered a scheme aimed at evading mobilization, which involved the director of a medical facility. This official organized the production of fake medical documents that allowed men to avoid conscription into military service and cross the state border without any obstacles. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
According to information provided by the State Border Guard Service on Friday via Telegram, operatives from the 7th Border Guard Detachment of the Carpathian Region, in conjunction with staff from the migration police and investigators from the Main Directorate of the National Police in Ternopil Oblast, conducted an investigation that revealed this criminal scheme. The medical facility director, according to the investigation, organized the production of fictitious medical documents that enabled men to evade mobilization.
It is noteworthy that the services for producing such documents came at a significant cost—around 5,000 US dollars. This amount indicates the seriousness and organization of the criminal activity, as it allowed many men to shirk their responsibilities to the state amid wartime conditions.
During searches conducted at the medical facility, law enforcement officers seized documentation that holds significant evidential value for further investigations. These documents may confirm the fact of medical certificate forgery and the involvement of other individuals in this scheme. At present, the individual implicated in the case has already been notified of the suspicion against him, and the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
This incident underscores the serious issues Ukraine faces in wartime, as some individuals attempt to exploit the situation for personal gain. The forgery of medical documents is not only a legal violation but also a threat to national security, as it allows individuals to evade their military duties at a time when the country needs every defender.
The State Border Guard Service and other law enforcement agencies continue to actively work on identifying similar schemes and holding those responsible accountable. It is crucial for society to understand the seriousness of the situation and support the state's efforts in combating such crimes.
