Severe Weather Leaves 46 Villages Without Power in Rivne Region, Roof of Lyceum Damaged

In the Rivne region, a powerful storm has caused significant disruption, leaving 46 villages without electricity. This information was reported by the Rivne Regional Military Administration via their Telegram channel, as conveyed by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform.

As of 2 PM, 46 villages in the Varash and Dubno districts are without power. Among the storm's aftermath is the damage to the roof of the Khynotsky Lyceum, located in the Volodymyrets community. Preliminary assessments indicate that the damaged area of the roof measures approximately 50-60 square meters.

Local authorities have already begun work to repair the damaged roof to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the educational institution. Additionally, instances of fallen trees and power poles have been reported across the region, complicating the restoration of electricity supply.

Energy workers are actively engaged in restoring power to the affected villages. They are striving to quickly address the consequences of the storm and bring light back to the homes of residents. It is important to note that, as a positive aspect of this situation, no injuries have been reported as a result of the storm.

This is not the first instance of severe storms causing damage in Ukraine. For example, in February of this year, a storm in the Dnistrovsky district of the Chernivtsi region knocked down dozens of trees onto state roads, leading to transportation disruptions.
