In the early hours of April 6, Russian military forces launched an attack on an energy facility in the Odesa region, causing substantial infrastructure damage and resulting in power outages for many residents in the area. This information was reported by the DTEK Group through its official Telegram channel.
According to the company’s announcement, energy workers were able to restore electricity supply to critical infrastructure facilities and nearly three thousand households by the morning. However, despite these efforts, an additional 16,700 families remain without electricity in parts of the Prymorskyi, Khadzhybei, and Kyivskyi districts of Odesa.
DTEK emphasized that the damage to the energy facility is significant, and its restoration will require considerable time and effort. Currently, energy workers are engaged in clearing debris and assessing the extent of the damage.
Moreover, it is important to note that as a result of the massive Russian strike in Odesa, three people were killed, including a child. This tragedy has caused a significant public outcry, and a day of mourning has been declared in the city in memory of the victims.
The situation in the region remains tense, and local authorities are urging residents to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures. Energy workers continue their efforts to restore electricity supply; however, according to DTEK representatives, full restoration may take some time.
This incident once again highlights the critical importance of energy infrastructure for the livelihood of the population, as well as the necessity of protecting it in the context of military actions. In wartime conditions, energy workers demonstrate their commitment to their duties, operating in dangerous environments to ensure electricity supply for the people.
Additionally, the DTEK Group urges all residents to follow updates through the company’s official channels, such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube, to stay informed about the latest news and updates regarding the restoration of electricity supply.
