An art exhibition titled 'Art of Diplomacy' took place in Warsaw, showcasing the works of Ukrainian artist Olena Bodnar, organized by the SHOM Association under the patronage of Poland's First Lady.
In the capital of Poland, Warsaw, an art exhibition named 'Art of Diplomacy' was held, featuring the works of Ukrainian artist Olena Bodnar. This event was organized by the SHOM Association (Spouses of Heads of Mission), which unites the spouses of diplomats, and was held under the patronage of Poland's First Lady. This information was reported by Ukrinform, citing details from the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.
The exhibition served as an important platform to remind attendees of the significant role that art plays in the realm of diplomacy. Representatives from the Ukrainian diplomatic mission noted that during this exhibition, Ukraine's voice was particularly prominent, emphasizing the importance of cultural exchange between nations.
This year, Ukraine was represented by a unique project that garnered significant interest among visitors. Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Bodnar, along with his family, presented the creative works of his daughter, Olena Bodnar. Her debut at the exhibition was a true artistic manifesto, reflecting Ukrainian identity and cultural traditions.
"Olena's works are not just paintings; they are a living memory of our native Ukraine, embodied in symbols that every Ukrainian understands without words: the traditional motanka doll as an ancient talisman; the sunflower as a symbol of warmth and resilience; national colors and elements of Ukrainian ornamentation. We are incredibly proud that Ukraine is represented in the esteemed circle of the SHOM diplomatic community. Participation in such events allows us not only to showcase talents but also to remind the world of the richness of Ukrainian culture, which continues to create and inspire despite all challenges," emphasized the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland.
The 'Art of Diplomacy' exhibition also featured works by artists from other countries, including the Czech Republic, France, Slovakia, Ireland, Poland, Palestine, Italy, and others. This highlights the international character of the event and promotes cultural exchange among different nations.
Additionally, it is worth noting that on April 7, the Consul General of Ukraine in Gdansk, Svitlana Krys, visited the Ukrainian Library in Gdansk, where she donated 25 art books received from Ukrainian publishers on a charitable basis. This gesture reaffirms the importance of supporting Ukrainian culture abroad and fostering its development.
Photos from the event were published on the official Facebook page of the Ukrainian Embassy in Poland, allowing everyone interested to experience the atmosphere of the exhibition and the works of Ukrainian artists.
