Curfew Shortened in Khmelnytskyi Region for Easter Night

In a significant move for local believers, the curfew in the Khmelnytskyi region will be reduced on Easter night, allowing for greater participation in religious services.

On Easter night in the Khmelnytskyi region, according to a decision by the Regional Defense Council, the duration of the curfew will be shortened from midnight to 3 AM. This announcement was made by the head of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Tyurin, on his Facebook page, as reported by Ukrinform.

Tyurin emphasized that while the curfew is not being completely lifted, its reduction will allow worshippers to participate in religious services without violating established regulations. 'The Regional Defense Council recommended shortening the curfew on Easter night from midnight to 3 AM; however, it has not been completely canceled. Based on this decision, I signed the relevant order. This will enable believers to attend services without breaking the established rules,' he stated.

Currently, the curfew in Khmelnytskyi lasts from midnight to 5 AM, and its reduction on Easter night represents an important step in ensuring that believers can celebrate the holiday. The head of the OVA also underscored the importance of maintaining safety during festive events.

During a meeting with representatives of the clergy in Khmelnytskyi, Tyurin recommended conducting online broadcasts of services to reduce the number of attendees in churches. This decision aims to ensure the safety of citizens and avoid crowding during the holiday events.

Additionally, it is worth noting that in connection with Easter, police officers in Ukraine will be working in an enhanced mode. This decision was made to ensure order and safety during the festive days when large crowds traditionally gather in churches and on the streets.

At this time, as the country faces challenging circumstances, it is crucial to adhere to safety rules and measures aimed at protecting citizens. The shortening of the curfew on Easter night is a testament to the authorities' efforts to find a balance between ensuring safety and allowing believers to celebrate one of the most important Christian holidays.

Thus, on Easter night in the Khmelnytskyi region, worshippers will have the opportunity to attend services while adhering to the established restrictions, marking an important step in supporting spirituality and traditions during the holiday.
