One Dead and 25 Injured in Kherson Region Due to Russian Attacks

In the Kherson region, one individual has lost their life, and 25 others have sustained injuries as a result of ongoing aggression from Russian military forces. This alarming information was shared by Alexander Prokudin, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, through his Telegram channel, highlighting the dire situation in the area where active combat continues.

Prokudin reported that the city of Kherson and 39 other settlements in the region have been subjected to intense attacks from the enemy, which included drone strikes, aerial bombardments, and artillery shelling. These military actions by Russian forces are not only targeting military installations but also critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods, leading to numerous casualties among the civilian population.

The recent attacks have resulted in damage to seven multi-story apartment buildings and ten private homes, causing significant destruction in residential areas. Additionally, administrative buildings, a church, a gas pipeline, a public transport bus, and private vehicles have come under fire, underscoring the recklessness of the aggressor's actions.

It is important to note that yesterday, 11 individuals were evacuated from territories that had been liberated from the occupiers, indicating the continuation of the humanitarian crisis in the region. Those who have left their homes are in urgent need of assistance and support, as many have lost everything due to the ongoing hostilities.

This situation is not new for the Kherson region. Earlier reports indicated that on April 2, one person also died, and 18 were injured, including a child. These statistics confirm that the civilian population continues to suffer from the consequences of a war that has been ongoing for over a year.
