Four Dead and 21 Injured in Kherson Region Due to Enemy Attacks

The situation in the Kherson region remains extremely tense, with four people killed and 21 injured in a single day due to enemy attacks, according to regional governor Oleksandr Prokudin.

The Kherson region is grappling with a dire security situation, as reported by Oleksandr Prokudin, the head of the regional state administration, via his Telegram channel. In the past 24 hours, the area has witnessed relentless enemy drone terror, airstrikes, and artillery shelling, leading to the tragic loss of four lives and injuries to 21 individuals.

Prokudin detailed that various populated areas have come under fire, including Tomyna Balka, Beryslav, Bilozirka, Zolota Balka, Ukrainka, Stepaniivka, Mykilske, Novoraisk, Antonivka, Burhunka, Vesele, Havyliivka, Dniprovske, Kizomys, Lvivove, Novotyahynka, Osokorivka, Prydniprovske, Tokarivka, Chornobayivka, Sofiivka, Ivanivka, Mykhailivka, Novokairy, Novotyahynka, and the city of Kherson itself.

As a result of these attacks, significant damage has been inflicted on the infrastructure, with 17 multi-storey buildings and 28 private homes affected. Additionally, a pharmacy, a utility building, a cell tower, a warehouse, a private garage, vehicles, and an emergency medical service vehicle have also sustained damage.

Prokudin further noted that on the previous day, one individual was evacuated from territories that had been liberated from the occupiers. This evacuation underscores the prolonged and serious nature of the situation in the region, where local residents continue to suffer the devastating consequences of war.

It is important to recall that on April 7, Russian forces launched a drone attack on an emergency medical team in the Dniprovskyi district of Kherson. This attack resulted in injuries to three medical personnel. Just an hour prior, two medics were injured due to Russian shelling in the same area, highlighting the perilous conditions faced by medical workers on the front lines.

The situation in the Kherson region remains critical, and residents are in urgent need of assistance and support. Authorities are calling on everyone who can to contribute to helping those affected and to support those who have been left homeless due to the ongoing conflict.
