One Dead and 16 Injured in Russian Attacks in Kherson Region
On October 17, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office reported the devastating effects of Russian aggression in the Kherson region, where one person was killed and 16 others sustained injuries of varying severity due to military attacks.
Today, at 17:30, the Kherson Regional Prosecutor's Office released information regarding the consequences of Russian aggression in the Kherson region. As a result of the attacks carried out by the invaders, one person has died, and another 16 have been injured with varying degrees of severity.
According to the prosecutor's report, the tragedy occurred in the regional center when, at 14:15, Russian military forces used an FPV drone to attack a civilian vehicle. This horrific event claimed the life of a 42-year-old man, whose life was cut short by the enemy's ruthlessness.
Throughout the day in Kherson, 15 more individuals were affected by drone attacks and artillery shelling. Among the injured is a 16-year-old boy, as well as three police officers who, while performing their duties, became victims of hostile aggression. Additionally, a woman was injured as a result of shelling in the settlement of Komyshany.
The attacks by Russian troops not only took lives and caused injuries but also inflicted significant damage to infrastructure. Private and multi-apartment buildings, as well as agricultural structures and vehicles, have been damaged. These events highlight the ongoing terror that Russian forces are orchestrating in the Kherson region.
According to the prosecutor's office, Russian military forces have employed artillery, mortars, and drones to attack the Kherson region. This indicates an increase in the intensity of shelling directed at the civilian population, which constitutes a gross violation of international humanitarian law.
As reported earlier, Russian troops have intensified drone terror in the Kherson region, particularly increasing the use of drones on fiber optics. This raises serious concerns among local residents who face danger and fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones on a daily basis.
The situation in the region remains tense, and residents of Kherson continue to suffer from the consequences of aggression. Authorities are urging citizens to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures, as attacks may recur.
