120 Clashes Reported on the Frontlines in a Day, Most in Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka Directions
As of 8:00 AM on Monday, April 6, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported significant enemy activity on the frontlines, including 120 clashes that occurred within a day.
According to the report, the majority of these clashes were recorded in the Pokrovsk and Kostiantynivka directions, where Ukrainian forces successfully repelled attacks from the Russian army.
The military staff indicated that Russian troops conducted 72 airstrikes, during which 242 guided bombs were dropped. Additionally, the enemy actively employed kamikaze drones, launching a total of 8,367 such devices, and carried out 3,404 shelling attacks, 52 of which were conducted using multiple launch rocket systems.
The airstrikes by Russian forces targeted several key areas, including Varvarivka, Tsvitkove, Verkhnya Tersia, Huliaipilske, Kopani, Zaliznychne, Novoselivka, Dolynka, Komyshuvakha, and Novoyakovlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as Rozlyv and Zorivka in the Kherson region.
In response to these attacks, the aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to hit eight areas where the enemy concentrated personnel and equipment, as well as destroy a drone control point and another significant object of the Russian military.
In the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy launched one airstrike using three cruise bombs and carried out 83 shelling attacks, two of which were conducted with multiple launch rocket systems. One confrontation was recorded in this area.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, Russian forces attempted to breach defensive lines towards Starytsia and Vovchansk twice, but Ukrainian forces were able to stop these attempts. In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy conducted seven attacks towards Novosynove, Novoplatonivka, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka.
In the Lyman direction, the invaders attacked twice towards Kopanky and Lyman, while in the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully halted four attempts by Russians to advance in the areas of Yampol, Zakitne, and Riznykivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked twice in the vicinity of Orikhovo-Vasylivka, and in the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian troops conducted 19 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Kleban-Bik, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepanky, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the Defense Forces halted 25 Russian assault actions in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Rivne, Udaichne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Filia. Meanwhile, in the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy attacked eight times in the areas of Sichneve, Krasnohirske, and towards Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, and Kalynivske.
In the Huliaipilske direction, there were 12 Russian attacks towards Zaliznychne, Olenokostyantynivka, Huliaipilske, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Zelenyi. However, in the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions.
In the Dnipro direction, Russian troops carried out three unsuccessful assault actions towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and near the Bilohrudyi Island. At the same time, no signs of the formation of offensive groups of Russian troops were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
According to information provided by Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began on February 24, 2022, up to April 6, 2026, amount to approximately 1,304,490 personnel.
