157 Clashes Reported on the Frontline in One Day, Pokrovsk Remains the Hottest Spot

As of 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports significant combat activity on the front, with 157 clashes recorded in the past day. The Pokrovsk direction remains the most intense, where Ukrainian forces have repelled numerous attacks from Russian troops.

As of 8:00 AM on Saturday, April 4, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has reported a significant uptick in combat activities along the front lines, with a staggering 157 clashes documented over the past 24 hours. The Pokrovsk direction continues to be the focal point of intense fighting, where Ukrainian forces have successfully repelled multiple assaults from Russian military units.

According to the latest information, the enemy launched three missile strikes, deploying a total of 37 missiles, and conducted 80 airstrikes, dropping 260 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, Russian forces utilized 10,491 kamikaze drones and executed 3,850 shelling attacks, of which 119 were carried out using multiple launch rocket systems.

The Russian army's assaults were concentrated in various areas, including Velykomykhailivka, Pysantsi, Pokrovsk, Bohodarivka in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Vozdvizhivka, Dolynka, Rivne, Kopany, Novomykolaivka, Vilchanka, Huliaipilske, Obshche, and Zarichne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully struck three areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the enemy executed seven airstrikes, using 18 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 134 shelling attacks, including 21 from multiple launch rocket systems. This region has recorded three clashes, indicating ongoing active combat operations.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops made five attempts to breach defensive lines in the areas of Starytsia, Krasne Pershe, as well as towards Tzehelne and Vilcha. In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian army conducted eight attacks near Borivska Andriivka and towards Kivsharivka, Novosynove, and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman direction, the invaders launched two attacks, attempting to penetrate defenses towards Dibrivka and Novoserhiivka. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defense forces thwarted five attempts by Russian troops to advance in the areas of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Platonivka, and near Zvanivka. Notably, in the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any active offensive operations, which may suggest difficulties in executing their plans.

In the Kostiantynivka direction, the Russian army carried out 23 attacks in the areas of Kleban-Bik, Pleshchiyivka, Ivanopillya, Rusynyi Yar, as well as towards Illinivka, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka, Kucherovyi Yar, Kostiantynivka, and Stepaniivka. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces halted 35 assault actions by the Russian army in the areas of Bilytske, Shevchenkove, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Serhiivka, Udachny, Muravka, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhirynka, Novopavlivka, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Molodetske, and Novyi Donbas.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the enemy conducted eight attacks in the areas of Andriivka-Klevtsove, Sichneve, Zlahoda, Novohryhorivka, Krasnohirske, Stepove, and Oleksandrogad. In the Huliaipilske direction, 16 Russian attacks occurred in the areas of Huliaipole, Olenokostyantynivka, Varvarivka, Zelenyi, as well as towards Dobropillia, Pryliuky, Hirke, Charivne, Zaliznychnyi, and Tsvitkove.

In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defense forces stopped two attempts by the invaders to advance near Stepove and Stepnohirske. In the Dnipro direction, the Russian army conducted five assault actions towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and Holoi Prystan. Meanwhile, in the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of Russian offensive group formations have been detected.

According to a report from Ukrinform, the total combat losses of Russian troops since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which commenced on February 24, 2022, amount to approximately 1,302,370 personnel as of April 4, 2023. This figure underscores the significant losses suffered by the enemy in the ongoing war against Ukraine.
