108 Combat Encounters Recorded on the Frontline, Enemy Most Active in Pokrovsk Direction – General Staff
As of 10 PM on October 22, 2023, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported 108 combat encounters along the frontline, with the most intense fighting occurring in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy launched 24 attacks.
According to the latest report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 10 PM on October 22, 2023, there have been 108 combat encounters recorded on the frontline. The most active combat operations are taking place in the Pokrovsk direction, where the enemy has executed 24 attacks. Additionally, 17 attacks were noted in the Kostiantynivka direction and 12 in the Huliaipole direction.
Information indicates that in the North Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, there was only one combat encounter; however, the enemy conducted 53 shelling attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian settlements. Among these shellings, one was carried out using a multiple launch rocket system, indicating a strengthening of enemy artillery capabilities.
In the South Slobozhansky direction, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions twice towards Starytsia and Vovchansk. In one ongoing encounter, Ukrainian defenders are working to repel enemy attacks.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled six enemy assaults aimed at the settlements of Novoosynove, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka. This demonstrates a high level of training and resilience among Ukrainian forces in this region.
The Lyman direction also faced attacks from the enemy; however, Ukrainian warriors managed to fend off one attempt by the invaders to advance towards the settlement of Kopanky. In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four assaults by the occupiers in the areas of Yampol, Zakitne, and Riznykivka, two of which were still ongoing at the time of the report.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy launched two attacks on Ukrainian defenders' positions near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, but Ukrainian forces were able to withstand these assaults. In the Kostiantynivka direction, defense forces successfully repelled 17 assaults near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Kleban-Bik, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy executed 24 attacks, attempting to advance in the areas of the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Muravka, Pokrovsk, Rivne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Filiya. One of the encounters in this region is also ongoing, indicating a tense situation on the front.
The Oleksandrivka direction witnessed seven attempts by the enemy to improve their position, particularly in the areas of the settlements of Sichneve, Krasnohirske, as well as towards Sosnivka, Verbove, and Kalynivske. In the Huliaipole direction, there were 12 attacks by the occupiers towards Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipole, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Zelene. The enemy also conducted airstrikes in the areas of the settlements of Varvarivka, Tsvitkove, Verkhnya Tersa, Huliaipole, Kopani, Zaliznychne, Novoselivka, and Dolynka, with two encounters still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions; however, they carried out airstrikes on the areas of the settlements of Komyshuvakha and Novoyakovlivka. In the Dniprovsk direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful assault attempts towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and near the Bilohrudyi Island, while the settlements of Rozliv and Zorivka also came under enemy airstrikes.
