131 Clashes on the Frontline, Russians Made Nearly 25 Attempts to Break Through Ukrainian Defense in Pokrovsk Direction

As of the evening of April 8, 2026, operational information from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine indicates that there have been 131 combat clashes on the frontline. The enemy, attempting to break through the defenses of Ukrainian forces, has conducted 40 airstrikes, dropped 140 guided aerial bombs, and deployed 4,510 kamikaze drones. Additionally, the adversary has carried out 2,678 shellings of populated areas and positions of our troops, highlighting the tense situation on the frontline.

In the Northern Slobozhansky and Kursk directions, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled one enemy attack. Simultaneously, the enemy conducted 45 shellings of Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including three of these using multiple launch rocket systems. This underscores the aggressiveness of the enemy's actions in these directions.

In the Southern Slobozhansky direction, the enemy has stormed the positions of Ukrainian units five times in the areas of Vovchanski Khutory, Synelnykove, Prylipka, and Lyman. Our defenders demonstrated resilience and managed to repel these attacks.

In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian military successfully repelled four enemy assaults towards the populated areas of Novoosynove, Kivsharivka, and Novoplatonivka. Another clash is ongoing, indicating the constant tension in this region.

In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled four attempts by the invaders to advance in the areas of Hrekivka, Zarichne, and towards the populated areas of Novyi Myr and Lyman. The Defense Forces continue to hold the line despite numerous attacks.

In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian forces also repelled three assaults by the occupiers towards Riznykivka. This indicates active combat operations in this region, where the enemy is attempting to consolidate its positions.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked once towards Tykhonivka, but Ukrainian forces successfully repelled this assault. The Defense Forces continue to demonstrate resilience and readiness to fend off enemy offensives.

The situation remains particularly tense in the Kostiantynivka direction, where the Defense Forces successfully repelled 18 enemy assaults near Kostiantynivka, Stepaniivka, Novopavlivka, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Sofiivka. Another clash is ongoing, indicating active combat operations in this area.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy conducted 24 attacks, attempting to advance in the areas of Rodynske, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Muravka, Gryshyne, Udachne, Filia, as well as towards Bilitske, Novooleksandrivka, and Serhiivka. One clash is still ongoing. Preliminary estimates indicate that today in this direction, 76 occupiers were eliminated, 33 were wounded, and a ground robotic complex, personnel shelter, four communication antennas, seven units of automotive, and 11 units of special enemy equipment were destroyed. Additionally, a tank, four artillery systems, seven units of automotive equipment, three motorcycles, six UAV control points, and 37 enemy infantry shelters were damaged. A total of 118 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types were destroyed or suppressed.

In the Oleksandrivka direction, the occupiers made five attempts to improve their positions, advancing towards the populated areas of Lisne, Oleksandrohrad, Novoselivka, and in the area of Novohryhorivka. However, Ukrainian forces continue to hold the defense.

In the Hulyaipole direction, there were 15 attacks by the occupiers towards the populated areas of Pryliuky, Dobropillia, Tsvitkove, Zaliznychne, Hulyaipilske, Varvarivka, as well as in the areas of Myrnyi and Hulyaipole. Two clashes are ongoing, indicating active combat operations in this region. The enemy also carried out airstrikes in the areas of Lisne, Nove Pole, Vozdvizhivka, Pryliuky, Verkhniy Ters, Liubytske, Hirke, Hulyaipilske, Barvinivka, Shyroke, and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of Veseleanka, Mykilske, and Kushuhum, but did not conduct offensive actions. This indicates attempts by the enemy to inflict damage on Ukrainian positions without direct assault.

In the Dnipro direction, the enemy conducted five unsuccessful assault attempts towards the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrudyi Island. In other directions, no significant changes in the situation have occurred, indicating stability on the front in these regions.

As reported by Ukrinform, in Chasiv Yar, the Defense Forces continue to repel enemy assaults, preventing the adversary from advancing towards Kostiantynivka. This situation underscores the importance of supporting Ukrainian military efforts to defend the country.
