On April 3, 2023, the ongoing armed aggression by Russian forces resulted in the deaths of seven civilians and injuries to 35 others in the Donetsk and Kherson regions of Ukraine, raising serious concerns among local populations and authorities. These tragic events were a direct consequence of relentless shelling carried out by Russian occupiers targeting populated areas.

According to information provided by the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, six individuals lost their lives in the city of Kramatorsk. This city has become one of the most affected by the aggression, as the bombardments from Russian military forces show no signs of abating. Furthermore, local authorities reported that an additional ten people sustained injuries due to attacks in this region in just one day.

The situation in Kherson is also critical. As a result of shelling by Russian military forces, one person was killed, and 25 others were injured. These figures highlight the ongoing suffering of civilians who continue to bear the brunt of a war that has persisted for over a year.

Authorities report that Russian military forces are deliberately targeting critical and social infrastructure, as well as residential neighborhoods. As a result of these actions, seven apartment buildings and ten private homes have been damaged. This not only endangers lives but also creates significant housing problems for those left without shelter.

In addition to this, Russian occupiers have inflicted damage on administrative buildings, churches, a gas pipeline, as well as a public transport bus and private vehicles. These attacks demonstrate the irresponsibility and brutality of the aggressor, who shows no restraint even when it comes to civilian objects, which constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law.

The situation in the Donetsk and Kherson regions remains tense, with local residents continuing to live under the threat of violence. Authorities are urging the international community to pay attention to these tragic events and take measures to protect the civilian population suffering from the consequences of war. Despite all the hardships, Ukrainians continue to fight for their freedom and independence, hoping for a peaceful resolution to the conflict in the near future.
