Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Launches 24/7 Broadcast to Counter Orbán's Claims about Ukraine

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the launch of a 24-hour radio broadcast aimed at refuting the absurd statements regularly made by Hungarian officials. This initiative was revealed by the ministry's spokesperson, Georgiy Tikhiy, on the social media platform X.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has officially launched a round-the-clock radio broadcast designed to counter the frequent and unfounded claims made by Hungarian officials. Georgiy Tikhiy, the spokesperson for the MFA, shared this information via the social media platform X, as reported by Ukrinform.

Tikhiy explained that Hungarian officials have been consistently making statements that do not align with reality, and the Ukrainian side has grown weary of responding to each one. Consequently, the decision was made to create an online platform that would allow for the official position of Ukraine to be articulated. This broadcast has been named "Hungarian Radio Ukraine."

The transmission is available in Hungarian, Ukrainian, and English, featuring statements that firmly reject the manipulations frequently employed by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his administration. "We condemn his continuous attempts to involve Ukraine in his internal politics or electoral campaign," Tikhiy stated.

The spokesperson emphasized that Ukraine has never wished harm upon its neighboring Hungary. "We urge all Hungarians not to trust the toxic anti-Ukrainian propaganda that is voiced daily by officials," he added.

Tikhiy also highlighted the importance of maintaining good neighborly relations between Ukraine and Hungary, noting that both countries are members of the European Union and NATO. "We are destined to be good neighbors, members of the EU and NATO, rather than part of the 'Russian world,'" he stressed.

The "Hungarian Radio Ukraine" broadcast aims not only to refute false statements but also to inform Hungarians about the actual situation in Ukraine and the true state of Ukrainian-Hungarian relations.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, who is campaigning for re-election, recently reiterated claims of alleged Ukrainian interference in Hungary's internal affairs and criticized the Ukrainian government, particularly President Volodymyr Zelensky. These statements have sparked outrage within Ukrainian society and prompted the MFA to take proactive measures to refute the misinformation.

In light of this, the Ukrainian side is calling on all Hungarians to listen to "Hungarian Radio Ukraine" to receive accurate information about the events occurring in Ukraine and the relationships between the two countries.
