Monatik Discusses His Return to Ukraine and Performance Fees

In a recent episode of FEDORIV VLOG, popular Ukrainian singer Monatik shared his experiences at the onset of the full-scale war in Ukraine, revealing his deep commitment to support his country during these challenging times.

In a recent episode of FEDORIV VLOG, popular Ukrainian singer Monatik, whose real name is Dmytro Monatik, opened up about his feelings at the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine. The artist admitted that he found himself abroad at the war's onset, but quickly returned home to support his country during this difficult period.

During a conversation with host Andrii Fedoriv, the singer responded to a question sent in by his followers. "Why did you run away at the beginning of the war?" Fedoriv read aloud. To this, Monatik replied, "That's a good question. Let me answer it again. I didn’t run away at the beginning of the war; I found myself abroad and I returned to the war — on the contrary. I could have stayed there, but no — I am here, I came back. As soon as the tours ended, I immediately returned." These words reflect his deep desire to be home and support his country during times of crisis.

Furthermore, Monatik discussed his performance fees, noting that a corporate event costs 30,000 euros, but it is usually possible to negotiate a lower amount. "And there’s a mandatory 10% agency fee. If the agent sells it for more, they get a larger percentage. This is a motivation for people who sell artists for holidays. This has been our policy for a long time. I believe everyone should earn and be incentivized," the artist commented. He also added that the conditions regarding concerts can vary depending on agreements with organizers.

It is worth mentioning that Monatik has been announced as the headliner for the Atlas Festival 2026, which is set to take place in July next year in Kyiv. This festival promises to be a vibrant event for music fans, as it will feature not only Monatik but also other popular Ukrainian artists such as Kurhan&Agregat, Heitspich, The Unsleeping, SKYLERR, Shmiska, and the literary-musical association MUR. Atlas Festival 2026 will run from July 17 to July 19, 2026, and will be held at the Blockbuster Mall located at 36 Stepan Bandera Avenue.

Overall, Monatik continues to work actively despite the challenging circumstances, and his return to Ukraine has become a symbol of support and unity during wartime. His words and actions inspire many Ukrainians who also seek to contribute to the country's recovery.
