Young Athletes from Ukraine Win Medals at European Wrestling Championship

At the recent European Wrestling Championship, which took place in the Hungarian city of Budapest, young Ukrainian athletes showcased impressive results, winning several medals across various weight categories. This tournament served as an important step in their preparation for upcoming international competitions, as well as an opportunity for young wrestlers to demonstrate their skills on the European stage.

Specifically, Ukrainian wrestlers claimed three gold, two silver, and four bronze medals. Among the winners, notable mentions include Oleksandr Kovalenko, who secured gold in the 70 kg weight category, and Maria Levchenko, who became the champion in the 57 kg category. Both athletes exhibited a high level of training and skill, allowing them to confidently progress through all stages of the competition.

Bronze medals were awarded to Ivan Honchar in the 74 kg category, Olena Kostenko in the 62 kg category, Andrii Shevchenko in the 79 kg category, and Sofia Bondar in the 50 kg category. Each of these athletes contributed to the overall success of the team, demonstrating character and determination in their matches.
