Ukraine's Model: Lessons in Defense, Industry, and Innovation — Presentation by KI Insights
As the war in the Middle East reshapes global perceptions of threats and procurement priorities, attention increasingly turns to Ukraine, not only as a battlefield but also as a leading producer and testing ground for economically efficient, rapidly deployable defense technologies.
With the onset of the war in the Middle East, global perceptions of threats and procurement priorities are shifting, and attention is increasingly focused on Ukraine — not just as a battlefield but also as a leading producer and testing ground for economically efficient, rapidly deployable defense technologies. Ukrainian drones, electronic warfare systems, and adaptive combat practices are now being closely studied by armies and defense industries worldwide.
The Ukrainian defense industry is undergoing a rapid and, to a large extent, under-researched transformation. A dynamic ecosystem of domestic innovation, battlefield adaptation, and industrial scaling is forming — with implications that extend far beyond Ukraine's borders.
This special presentation by KI Insights offers a structured, high-level overview of this evolving landscape — revealing what has made Ukrainian innovation effective in wartime, which approaches can be transferred to other contexts, and which events to watch as the sector continues to develop.
The session is based on ongoing research by KI Insights in the defense sector, including field data, as well as the second edition of the book “Warcrafted: The Power of Ukrainian Defense Technologies” — the first of its kind catalog highlighting the most innovative and combat-tested defense technologies from Ukraine, co-created with Tech Force in Ukraine.
The presentation will take place in a closed online format in English, followed by an open question-and-answer session. The analytical team from KI Insights will be speaking.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28, at 18:00 Kyiv time (17:00 in Berlin, 16:00 in London, 11:00 in Washington, D.C.). The expected duration is 60-75 minutes.
