Ukrainian National Guard's Lasar's Group Dismantles Russian Electronic Warfare System, Inflicting $20 Million Loss

The Lasar's Group, a special operations unit of the National Guard of Ukraine, has showcased impressive footage of the destruction of a Russian electronic warfare (EW) radar system known as 'Palantir' in the Zaporizhzhia region. This operation represents a crucial development in the Ukrainian military's efforts against the aggressor, as the elimination of such systems significantly hampers enemy operations on the front lines.

According to information released by Lasar's Group on social media, the operation to destroy the 'Palantir' EW system was meticulously planned and executed in close coordination with other military units. The soldiers noted that due to a comprehensive approach, they were able to eliminate a rare enemy target that could have had a substantial impact on the course of combat operations.

The National Guard of Ukraine conducted the operation within the area of responsibility of the 17th Army Corps. During the preparation for the mission, the crews identified a concentration of enemy air defense (AD) assets behind the frontline. A critical part of the preparation involved detecting the powerful EW system that was protecting these assets, which became the primary target for the Ukrainian forces.

Lasar's Group, in collaboration with the 15th Separate Army Aviation Brigade 'Black Forest', conducted a detailed analysis of the area where Russian assets were concentrated. The comrades from the 15th Army Aviation Brigade carried out final reconnaissance and established the exact location of the 'Palantir' EW system. This enabled the Ukrainian military to prepare for the attack with maximum effectiveness.

After the reconnaissance was completed, the soldiers of Lasar's Group took to the skies with their drones to strike the 'Palantir' system. The initial strikes by the drone crews hit the target, while subsequent attacks ensured the complete destruction of the enemy system. This success marks an important step in the struggle for control over the airspace in the Zaporizhzhia direction.

According to information provided by the military, the destruction of the 'Palantir' EW system inflicted a $20 million loss on the Russian forces. 'The Russians have lost $20 million, and we have a freer sky for our drones,' the military emphasized, highlighting the significance of this achievement for future operations.
