Ministry of Defense Cancels 56 Paper Documents for Military Units
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced a significant decision aimed at reducing paperwork within military units, streamlining operations and minimizing bureaucracy.
Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov took to his Telegram channel to unveil a crucial decision by the Ministry of Defense that pertains to a substantial reduction in paper documentation within military units. According to the new regulations, military units that have already implemented digital accounting are no longer obliged to maintain paper logs, books, and reports. If information is already available in a digital system, duplicating it on paper is prohibited. This decision aims to simplify the work of military personnel and reduce bureaucratic hurdles.
Fedorov emphasized that the most significant changes will be felt by military units, which will see the cancellation of 56 documents. He highlighted that the reduction of paperwork is occurring at all levels of management. Specifically, 28 documents have been eliminated for supply services, 16 for supply centers, 12 for warehouses, and 15 for units. This reflects a systematic approach to optimizing processes within the Ministry of Defense.
"This is a systematic decision where paper accounting is disappearing at all levels of management," stated the minister, clarifying that changes are being implemented in those units where a digital property accounting system has already been deployed. This will allow for a reduction in the time spent on processing documents and enable personnel to focus on more critical tasks.
Moreover, Fedorov reported that the Ministry of Defense is also working on simplifying the processes for supplying military units. Notably, the transition of property into operation has been automated, allowing for the avoidance of paper acts regarding category changes. Additionally, the supply chain for centralized purchases has been expedited, meaning that property is handed over to military personnel immediately, without the need to wait for the signing of transfer documents.
Changes have also affected the accounting of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The minister underscored that the accounting of UAV components has become more flexible, allowing for their separate transfer according to the needs of the units. This is an important step towards modernizing and adapting the military to contemporary combat conditions.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Defense recently launched a new digital system for managing drone operations called Mission Control. This system is part of the DELTA ecosystem and allows each crew to input data regarding the type of UAV, launch point, route, and mission. This represents another step towards the digitization of military processes, enhancing efficiency and responsiveness.
Through these changes, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine aims not only to reduce bureaucracy but also to ensure a faster and more effective execution of the tasks facing military units. This is a significant step towards modernizing the army and adapting to the new challenges the country faces.
