Ministry of Culture Expects Approximately ₴2 Billion from 'Thousand Spring' Program to Support Film and Series Production
A new cultural initiative program named 'Thousand Spring' has been launched in Ukraine, aiming to bolster the development of the Ukrainian cultural product with a total budget of ₴4 billion.
The Ukrainian government has officially launched a new program to support cultural initiatives, titled 'Thousand Spring', which is designed to promote the growth of Ukrainian cultural products. This announcement was made by the Deputy Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy and Minister of Culture of Ukraine, Tetiana Berezhna, during a television broadcast. She highlighted that the overall budget allocated for the program amounts to ₴4 billion.
According to Berezhna, these funds have already been earmarked in the state budget for the current year, with the allocation being approved at the end of 2025. The minister emphasized that the largest portion of the budget, approximately ₴2 billion, will be directed towards the production of feature films and series. The remaining funds will be distributed across various sectors, including documentaries, animation projects, contemporary music, theatrical performances, visual arts, museum exhibitions, and social media content.
"We strongly encourage all creative individuals to apply. This program will provide a new resource and a fresh impetus for the development of Ukrainian culture," Berezhna stated, addressing representatives from creative professions.
The Deputy Prime Minister also reminded that the selection of projects for participation in the program commenced on April 3. Applications can be submitted by both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, as well as other business entities, including companies, organizations, and creative teams.
