This revelation was made public through a new study conducted by Ancestry, which showed that there are familial ties between the two women, specifically, they are sixth cousins.

Representatives from Ancestry reported that the connection between Wintour and Streep was uncovered using an analysis of billions of historical records and public genealogical trees. The research revealed that they share common ancestors named Thomas Smith and Elizabeth Kinsey. This discovery has created quite a sensation, as both women have shared roots that they were previously unaware of.

Interestingly, Anna Wintour and Meryl Streep were both born in the same year—1949—with just a five-month difference between their birthdays. This detail further emphasizes their closeness, albeit in a genealogical sense. The news of this research surfaced just ahead of the release of the sequel 'The Devil Wears Prada 2,' which has sparked even greater interest in both women.
