Assets of Zaporizhzhia Confectionery Factory Auctioned for 31.3 Million UAH

The Zaporizhzhia Confectionery Factory has announced the auction of its assets through the Prozorro.Sale platform, following its bankruptcy declaration on April 22, 2025.

The Zaporizhzhia Confectionery Factory, located in the city of Zaporizhzhia, has officially announced the sale of its assets at an auction organized via the Prozorro.Sale platform. This decision comes in the wake of the company's bankruptcy declaration, which was confirmed on April 22, 2025, when the Economic Court of the Zaporizhzhia region initiated the liquidation process of the enterprise.

According to information published in the publication Business Zaporizhzhia, the factory's assets have been divided into four separate lots, with a total estimated value of 31.3 million hryvnias. These lots include not only the production buildings but also specialized equipment used for the manufacturing and packaging of confectionery products.

Among the lots already available for sale is a ball mill designed for grinding chocolate masses, glazes, or fillings, valued at 2.3 million hryvnias. The auction also features a candy packaging machine priced at 569,000 hryvnias and a packaging and filling set valued at 339,000 hryvnias. All mentioned equipment was put into operation in 2005-2006, indicating its modernity and potential for continued use in confectionery production.

It is noteworthy that the factory buildings themselves have not yet been put up for auction, which may suggest possible plans for their future use or sale. The Zaporizhzhia Confectionery Factory, established in November 1945, has produced a wide range of confectionery products for decades, including candies, caramel, wafers, cookies, and halva, becoming an integral part of the local economy.

Interestingly, in October 2025, another confectionery factory, AVK, located in Dnipro, was also sold through the electronic trading system OpenMarket — SETAM due to debts. The new owner is a Kyiv-based company, LLC Ilaris, indicating an activation of the confectionery market in Ukraine amid financial difficulties.

Thus, the auctioning of the Zaporizhzhia Confectionery Factory's assets represents a significant step in the liquidation process of the enterprise, which is attempting to settle its debts. This case highlights the challenging situation in the Ukrainian confectionery industry, where many companies are facing financial difficulties, leading to bankruptcies and asset sales.
