Ilya Marchenko, captain of the Ukrainian tennis team, expressed confidence that his players are ready for a serious contest in the upcoming match against Poland. The team has arrived with the goal of victory, which is their primary focus at this moment.
Captain of the Ukrainian tennis team, Ilya Marchenko, has voiced his confidence in the readiness of his players for a serious battle in the forthcoming match against Poland. According to reports from BTU, Marchenko emphasized that the team has arrived with the aim of winning, which remains their main objective at this time.
“It is clear that expectations are very high. We have come to win, and that is our primary goal. However, we know that Poland is a very strong team, even though they are currently competing without Iga Swiatek. They are still a formidable opponent, and we are preparing for a serious fight, fully focused on this match,” Marchenko stated.
The captain also highlighted the importance of teamwork and mutual support during the preparation process. “We try to do everything together, support each other, and stay positive. The atmosphere in the team is very good, and that is a significant part of our success,” he added.
Elina Svitolina, the leader of the Ukrainian team, also commented on the absence of Poland's top tennis player, Iga Swiatek, from the opposing lineup. She pointed out that while Swiatek's absence might seem like an advantage for the Ukrainian team, it is essential not to underestimate the other Polish players.
“Will this give us an advantage? I wouldn’t say so,” Svitolina declared. “Of course, Iga means a lot to the team, but we must give credit to the other players on the Polish team. They are strong tennis players. The last time we played here, the match was very close. So we have to prepare for a serious battle. Everyone will fight until the end,” Svitolina emphasized.
She also noted that playing at home could create additional pressure for the Polish team, which may impact their performance. “Moreover, playing at home also adds a certain pressure on the Polish team. We are focusing on each match individually,” she added.
Thus, both Ukrainian tennis players demonstrate determination and readiness for a serious contest against the Polish team, despite the absence of Iga Swiatek. The Ukrainian team is set on victory, and they are working diligently to achieve this goal. All fans can follow the team's updates through their channels on Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube.
