Lviv to Host U20 Ukrainian Championship in Freestyle Wrestling
Lviv is set to host the U20 Ukrainian Championship in freestyle wrestling, an important event for young athletes, taking place at the sports complex of the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies.
According to information provided by the Ukrainian Wrestling Association, Lviv will be the venue for the U20 Ukrainian Championship in freestyle wrestling. This significant event for young athletes will occur at the sports complex of the Lviv National University of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnologies, located at 50 Pekarska Street.
The competition is scheduled for athletes born between 2006 and 2009. Participation in the championship is limited to those young wrestlers who have a training level of at least II category. This requirement indicates a high level of competition, as participants must demonstrate their skills and abilities on the mat.
The tournament will be conducted in a personal-team format, allowing not only the identification of the best wrestlers in individual weight categories but also the calculation of the overall team score. The competitions will be held in various weight categories for men: 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97, 125 kg, and for women in the categories: 50, 53, 55, 57, 59, 62, 65, 68, 72, 76 kg.
Winners and prizewinners of the championship will receive not only medals and diplomas from the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine but also valuable gifts from the organizers and sponsors of the event. This will serve as an additional incentive for participants, as competitions of this level always attract attention not only from athletes but also from sports enthusiasts.
It is worth noting that Lviv, a city with a rich sports history, frequently hosts important sporting events. The U20 Ukrainian Championship in freestyle wrestling will be no exception.
